Seventeen years ago, I entered the world of care as a student nurse.

I didn’t arrive through theory — I arrived through graft:

***Carer → senior carer → staff nurse → unit manager → clinical lead → deputy manager → registered manager → regional manager → consultant.

​

I’ve lived this sector from every angle, from hands-on personal care to leadership, governance and regulatory oversight.

​

I’ve worked alongside broken teams, frightened managers, overwhelmed owners, shattered confidence, failing inspections, safeguarding pressure, burnout, exhaustion and fear.

​

And I’ve also seen what happens when hope returns.
    When direction returns.
       When leadership strengthens.
         When standards rise.
           When people believe again.

             That’s where my work lives.

I created Mareric because I realised something important:
         Care services don’t struggle because people don’t care.
               They struggle because people don’t feel supported.

Mareric gave me the freedom to step into services exactly when and where I am needed, not tied to a job title, a building, or a boardroom, but driven by purpose, clarity, impact and integrity.

​

It allows me to bring strong leadership, clear direction, system strength, accountability, compassion and vision into environments that feel lost, stuck or overwhelmed.

Mareric isn’t “just consultancy”.
